Black History Month: The USS Mason in World War II at Billings Public Library

Most people are unfamiliar with the USS Mason, but the destroyer escort was the only vessel in the segregated, World War II Navy in which African-Americans had jobs other than as cooks and waiters. The crew was cited for their heroism, forty years later. The Black Heritage Foundation & Billings Public Library are sponsoring this series of programs.
