MISSION - To generate room nights for lodging facilities in the city of Billings by effectively marketing our region as a preferred travel destination.


TBID Board Meetings are held the 2nd Thursday of each month at 8:30 a.m. with the exception of the December 12th meeting, which will be at 12 noon.
Meetings are held in the Chamber/CVB Board Room.

The Business Improvement District Law, Montana Code Annotated 2007, 7-12-1101 through 7-12-1144 as amended, for the funding of all uses and projects for tourism promotion within Billings as specified in the Billings Tourism Business Improvement District budget. Revenue collected from this assessment must be used for activities and expenditures designed to increase tourism, events, rallies and convention business.

The purposes for which the assessments collected shall be used are the statutory purposes set forth in Business Improvement District Law, Montana Code Annotated 2007, 7-12-1101 through 7-12-1144, for one or more of the following purposes:

  1. The funding of all uses and projects for tourism promotion within Billings as specified in the Billings Tourism Business Improvement District budget.
  2. The marketing of convention and trade shows that benefit local tourism and lodging businesses in Billings; and
  3. The marketing of Billings to the travel industry in order to benefit local tourism and the lodging businesses located within the Billings Tourism Business Improvement District; and
  4. The marketing of Billings to recruit major sporting events in order to promote local tourism and to benefit the lodging businesses within the Billings Tourism Business Improvement District.
