Getting Around Billings
Getting Around Billings
Getting around Billings is becoming easier for everyone as the city continues to invest in accessibility and inclusive transportation options.

Public Transit & Paratransit
Billings’ MET Transit buses are wheelchair-accessible with ramps and lifts, making the fixed-route system easier to use for riders with mobility devices. For those who can’t access regular routes, MET Plus, the city’s ADA paratransit service, provides curb-to-curb or door-to-door rides with advance scheduling.
sidewalks & crosswalks
The city is continually upgrading sidewalks and intersections to improve accessibility. Projects include adding new ADA-compliant curb ramps, repairing older sidewalks, and installing pedestrian signals with push-button controls.

trails and paths
Billings maintains a growing network of paved trails and multiuse paths that connect neighborhoods, parks and green spaces. These routes are designed to accommodate walkers, cyclists, and people using mobility devices, making outdoor recreation more accessible across the city.
What Visitors Should Know
Travelers can request large-print or alternate-format materials when using MET services, and the city encourages reporting of inaccessible sidewalks or crossings so they can be added to improvement plans.
