Splash and Swim
Make a Splash
Billings has plenty of great spots where kids can splash, swim and cool off, from indoor water parks to outdoor pools and lakes.
The Reef Indoor Water Park, Montana’s largest, is packed with slides like the Barracuda Blaster and Tropical Twister, a wave pool, water basketball, and a massive tipping bucket play structure.
In the summer, Billings Oasis Waterpark delivers outdoor fun with slides, open swim sessions, and America’s first WaveSurfer.

Rose Park Pool is a local favorite, offering a lap pool, diving area, kiddie pool, and multiple waterslides. For little ones, the city wading pools at Hawthorne Park and Pioneer Park are shallow, safe, and free to use.
The Billings Family YMCA provides a more structured setting with swim lessons, lap swimming, and kids’ programs year-round.

Just outside the city, Lake Elmo State Park offers a sandy beach, designated swim areas, and plenty of room for picnics and play.
Whether your family prefers thrilling slides, calm wading, or a natural lake setting, Billings has a swimming spot for every age.
