For Immediate Release – 3.2026
BILLINGS, Mont. – Visit Billings is proud to welcome the Montana Rural Water Systems 46th Technical Conference & Exhibition to Billings for the first time, taking place March 23-25, 2026, at the Billings Hotel & Convention Center. Montana Rural Water Systems describes the event as a three-day conference focused on training, networking, industry updates, exhibitor showcases, and continuing education opportunities for water and wastewater professionals from across the state.

With more than 960 attendees expected, the conference represents a major win for Billings and a meaningful boost for the local economy. Events of this scale support area hotels, restaurants, retailers, and other businesses while bringing new visitors into the community. Visit Billings’ own meetings marketing highlights that Billings is equipped to host conventions of up to 1,000 people, and the organization’s tourism and partner resources emphasize the importance of events that generate hotel room nights and economic benefit for local businesses.

This year’s conference is especially significant because it is the first time the long-running event has been hosted in Billings. Montana Rural Water Systems’ conference materials also note strong participation, including a full exhibitor floor, underscoring the value and momentum of bringing this event to the community.

Visit Billings was proud to support conference organizers in helping bring the event to Billings and in working to ensure a successful experience for attendees during their time in the city.

“Conferences like this create meaningful economic impact for Billings and bring energy to our local businesses and community,” said Aly Eggart, Executive Director of Visit Billings. “To welcome an event of this caliber to Billings for the first time is a tremendous honor. We are grateful Montana Rural Water Systems chose Billings, and we were proud to support their team in helping create a great experience for attendees.”
