What’s the best way to explore Billings like a local? Attend one of our scintillating summer events. We have an enviable lineup of entertainment that’s tailor-made for outsiders. From competitions that will please your tastebuds to others that measure athletic prowess, there’s no shortage of events to enjoy in Billings all summer long.

Tacos and Tequila

May 5 from 1 pm to 5 pm, Billings Depot

Local tastemakers compete for the title of the best taco in Billings. Who will win? You be the judge. Everyone who attends will receive a chip to vote for your favorite taco.

 

Tito Puente Jr. Latin Jazz Orchestra

May 7 at 7:30 pm, Alberta Bair Theater

Always honoring his father’s legacy, Tito Puente Jr. has also made a name for himself as one of the most exciting Latin musicians touring today.

 

Comedian Dave Landau

May 11 at 8 pm, Alberta Bair Theater

The mark of a great comedian, it is said, is the ability to find jokes where others would find tears. Dave finds jokes everywhere, from his own foibles and faults to his family to pop culture and the state of the world today.

Last Best Beer Run & 5k

Run with or without beer on a flat and fast course, complete with a costume contest, food trucks and an afterparty.

 

Montana Marathon

May 19, Multiple Locations

The first 10 miles of this Boston-qualifier feature some rolling hills, while the final 16 treat you to a loss of 1,000 vertical feet. An exciting marathon to say the least.

The Billings Mustangs open their season against Boise Hawks and play all summer long so you can enjoy America’s pastime whenever you visit Billings.

 

Alive After Five

Every Friday in June and July from 5-8 pm, Downtown Billings

Alive After 5 is Billings’ most anticipated summer concert series now in its 20th season. 

 

Art Walk

June 7 from 5 pm to 9 pm, Downtown Billings

Billings ArtWalk is a membership-led organization committed to promoting artists and their fine arts. All ArtWalk events are free. Many locations host music and offer light refreshments. Often, artists attend and present gallery talks.

 

Jurassic Quest

June 7 from 12 pm to 8 pm

MetraPark

Walk with our larger-than-life dinosaur herd with your friends and family as Jurassic Quest roars through Billings.

 

Rimrock MTB Dash

June 8 at 8 am, Acton Recreation Area

The Rimrock MTB Dash is an X-country-style mountain bike race in the Acton Recreation Area. It has four different categories, and contestants compete based on the total completion time of the race of their choosing.

 

WHOSE LIVE ANYWAY?

June 14 at 7:30 pm, Alberta Bair Theater

The current cast members of the Emmy-nominated TV show Whose Line Is It Anyway? are proud to present their new improv tour: WHOSE LIVE ANYWAY?

 

Heart and Sole Run

June 15 at 7:45 am, Downtown Billings

People of all ages and abilities are encouraged to take part. The proceeds go towards the YMCA Annual Campaign and improving the Billings trail system through Billings TrailNet.

Symphony in the Park 

June 23 at 7:00 pm, Pioneer Park

Bring your blanket or lawn chair and relax to an evening of music under our big Montana sky. Come early to this family-centered event and enjoy the popular Kids’ Conducting Contest, an instrument “petting zoo,” face painting, ice cream, and various beverage vendors and food trucks.
