BILLINGS, Mont. — As Billings prepares for another busy summer travel season, the Billings Air Service Committee and Billings Logan International Airport (BIL) are highlighting several seasonal airline schedule updates that will expand connectivity and seat capacity into the region.
Beginning May 12, Alaska Airlines will add a third daily flight between Billings and Seattle, increasing service to the major West Coast hub at Seattle–Tacoma International Airport. The additional evening departure will operate through Thanksgiving, providing travelers with more flexibility and expanded connections across Alaska’s network.
On May 21, United Airlines will resume its seasonal service between Billings and Chicago, reconnecting the community to O’Hare International Airport and strengthening access to the Midwest and eastern United States.
As part of normal seasonal scheduling adjustments, American Airlines will conclude its winter service between Billings and Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport on April 7. The route is expected to return for the fall travel season in 2026.
Summer is one of the busiest travel periods in Billings, and with the nation preparing to celebrate America’s 250th anniversary in 2026, demand for domestic travel is expected to remain strong. These seasonal schedule additions help ensure Billings remains well connected for both residents and visitors during the peak travel months.
Jeff Roach, Director of Aviation and Transit for Billings Logan International Airport, stated, “Billings Logan International Airport (BIL) is thrilled to have a commitment to our market from both Alaska Airlines with additional flights to Seattle, and United Airlines with seasonal service to Chicago. These additional direct flights will play a significant role in driving visitation and economic development for Billings and the region.”
