Grandpa’s Farm has everything you could want for fall fun: corn mazes, a pumpkin patch, kids attractions, cow-train rides, cozy concessions, and even a haunted section on select nights! Open September-October. T&C Farms, located just west of Billings in Laurel, offers hayrides, a large U-pick pumpkin patch, family farm activities, and even a pumpkin slingshot! Open mid-September–October.

 

 

Farmer’s Markets

Grab fresh produce, baked goods, and a taste of Montana agriculture every Saturday morning at Yellowstone Valley Farmer’s Market, mid-July through October 4. The season wraps up with Billings’ 21st HarvestFest on October 11 – a grand community fall festival in the center of downtown.

SPOOKY NIGHT OUT

Murder Mysteries & Ghost Tours

The Moss Mansion, a historic turn-of-the-century mansion and museum, comes to life every fall with live events and tours of spooky origin, including live Clue games, murder mystery nights, ghost tours, and even a Monster Ball to end the season.

The Dinner Detective is the largest interactive true crime murder mystery dinner show in the U.S. and will be at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Downtown Billings for select dates this fall. Actors hiding in the audience, hilarious mystery, and a full plated dinner await.

 

 

Haunted Happenings

Sleepy Hollow Haunted Wagon Rides at Oscar’s Park gives you the opportunity to climb aboard a horse-drawn wagon for a moonlit ride along the Yellowstone River, where eerie encounters and the Headless Horseman are rumored to appear. Select nights in October.

 

Scarity Haunted House takes over the Billings Depot, transforming this historic train station into a night of Montana’s creepiest tales. Select nights in October. Haunted Hallows leads brave visitors on a one-mile walk through Two Moon Park in the Heights, with frights lurking around every corner - zombies, clowns, and more than a few chilling surprises. The Haunted Corn Maze at Grandpa's Farm turns a section of this family-friendly farm into a scream-filled experience when the sun goes down, packed with jump scares and lots of frights.

EVENTS GALORE

Fairs & Festivals

Billings’ 21^st HarvestFest returns October 11 in Downtown Billings, closing out farmers market season with a street festival filled with food vendors, an Oktoberfest beer garden, live entertainment, kids activities, and even a Stein Holding Contest.

All Hallows Renaissance Faire takes over North Park October 5–6, inviting visitors into an enchanted world of medieval costumes, lively performances, and unique vendors.

 

 

Rodeo.

The NILE Stock Show & Rodeo, a long-standing Montana tradition, brings rodeo action, livestock shows, and western culture at MetraPark October 10-18, with a special kick-off concert featuring Ian Munsick on October 9.

 

 

Kids Halloween Fun

Boo at the Zoo brings Halloween fun to ZooMontana on October 18, with animal encounters, trick-or-treat stations, and many festive activities for the whole family. Downtown Trick or Treat fills the streets of Downtown Billings on October 31, when kids in costume collect candy from more than 50 local businesses in the heart of Billings.
