Naughty & Nice
As Santa’s favorite sloth, I take my correspondence with the big guy seriously. I trust his judgement, but I’m always happy to provide my opinion on his naughty and nice list—especially when I can vouch for my friends here in Billings!
Here’s the shortlist I’ll be sending to ol’ Saint Nick this year, and I hope it helps you, too. The next time you’re in town, you can visit all of these wonderful people (and my enemy, Pabu the red panda, if you’re so inclined…).
The Nice List
1) Jen & Jason Marble - Jen and Jason own and operate one of my favorite restaurants in Billings: the Marble Table! Their food is ridiculously delicious, and that means something coming from me, considering the majority of my diet is leafy greens and sweet potatoes.
2) The Thirsty Street Crew - Everyone from Thirsty Street Brewing is on the nice list! They’re always kind to me, and they’ve always got fun things happening weekly, like game nights and concerts. Outside of my home at ZooMontana, this is my favorite place to hang.
3) Jim from STEEPWORLD - Jim is one of my favorite people at my favorite local gym, STEEPWORLD Climbing & Fitness. Their location is close to where I live, and rock climbing is always a fun workout. Outside of my home at ZooMontana, this is my favorite place to hang. Speaking literally, of course.
4) Khan & Grif - Khan and Grif are Sichuan takins (pronounced TAH-kin), and they’re also residents at ZooMontana. More importantly, they told me if I included them on this list, they’d dig up dirt on Pabu. They’re his next door neighbors, so I NEED to include them here. You understand, right?
The Naughty List
1) Pabu the Red Panda - Could I start the naughty list with anyone else? Some people may think he’s cute, but don’t let that fool you. Pabu’s immature, and his ego is inflated. He’s always telling me, “I’m faster than you, Winston!” or “Winston, I have thumbs, and you don’t!” He’s right, but those are still mean things to say. Clearly, he’s deserving of the naughty list.
2) Whoever Invented Fruit Cake - Congratulations! You ruined cake. There are so many better desserts. Thankfully, I can find plenty of other sweets in Billings.
3) Pabu the Red Panda - Khan and Grif just let me know Pabu began decorating for the winter holidays the day after Halloween. That’s way too early! He’s on the naughty list twice now!
I’m sure Santa will agree with my thoughts here, and if you visit any of my friends in Billings, send him your feedback, too!
I can’t wait to see how many pieces of coal Pabu gets in his stocking this year.
