MET Transit is the public transportation system for the city of Billings Montana. With 450 designated stops, this transportation system operates a fleet of fixed-route buses that serves the entire city, as well as a paratransit service for people that can’t utilize the fixed route for various reasons. All MET buses are ADA ramp equipped and offer kneeling capabilities to assist in boarding; if you need the ramp or the bus kneeled, let the driver know.

The MET stops at designated locations marked by MET bus stop signs throughout the community. A simple wave to the driver when the bus is approaching helps to let the driver know to stop. Each bus stop sign has the STOP ID and ROUTES served shown at the bottom of each sign. Bus routes are available on weekdays from 5:45AM to 8:00PM.

When utilizing the MET Transit bus system be sure to plan your trip ahead of time. You can use the MET Transit website MET | City of Billings, MT - Official Website (billingsmt.gov) or the Passio GO app to find bus routes and schedules.

Fare varies depending on age and disability status, but most adults pay 2 dollars for a one-way ride. Exact change is required as drivers cannot make change. If you require a transfer, ask the driver for one. Transfers are free and allow you to ride multiple bus routes without paying another fare.

Please be courteous to other passengers. Yield your seat to the elderly and disabled.

MET Transit is a valuable resource for the Billings community. It provides affordable and reliable transportation for people of all ages and abilities.
